How the ranking works
Dimension filter
Internal length, width and height must each exceed your envelope plus clearance. Anything short is excluded outright, not penalised.
Weight filter
Packed mass plus empty case mass over 25 kg without wheels is excluded, because a case you cannot move is not a solution.
Feature filter
Wheels, sealing option, lock, carry handle and custom foam are hard constraints when you tick them, not scoring bonuses.
Application filter
If you name a sector, models whose family is not used in that sector are dropped and those that are get a weighting. This is what stops a dimension match producing a clinically wrong suggestion.
Fit score
The dominant term is unused internal volume, then evenness of slack across the three axes, then empty mass against your packed mass. A shell twice the size you need costs freight and mass for every year of its life.
Three recommendations
Best fit, a roomier option, and an alternative structure, so your purchasing review has something to compare rather than a single answer to argue with.
Same engine as an API
The ranking is a standalone module, not markup. /api/case-match/ documents the request and response shape so a mobile app, a CRM, an AI agent or a partner portal can call the identical algorithm against the identical data.
A fit score ranks models against your requirement. It is not a quality rating, and a case scoring 78 for one kit may be the wrong case for another. Nothing in this engine ranks products publicly.
If no standard shell clears your envelope, the engine says so and routes you to the custom path: a bespoke interior on an existing mould at 45 days, or a new mould at 125 days with a stated MOQ. We will not stretch a dimension to make a sale.
All 155 records come from the same product database that publishes every product page and datasheet on this site. One source of truth, so the tool cannot disagree with the catalogue.
The engine matches geometry. It does not know your centre of gravity, your connector layout, or whether a protruding handle needs a cut-out. Treat a match as a shortlist, and confirm with a sample before production.
