How temperature affects protective cases: resin behaviour at low and high temperature, pressure differential, gasket set and valve selection.
What we look at
- Low-temperature impact behaviour of the resin — PP generally retains toughness better than ABS
- High-temperature softening, which matters when a case is stacked in a container in direct sun
- Pressure differential between a hot case cooled quickly, and the vacuum lock that follows
- Gasket compression set after prolonged storage closed
Verification policy
Only tests actually performed are described with figures. Where no test record exists for a model we say so, and quote the test as a separate work package.
