Impact Testing
Impact protection in protective cases: how shell, wall thickness and foam interact, and how an impact requirement is specified and verified.
What we measure
- Peak acceleration transmitted to a dummy mass in the carrier
- Whether the closure stayed closed
- Whether the shell recovered its shape or took a permanent set
- Whether the foam crept under repeated events
How to specify it
Tell us the packed mass, the height you believe the case will be dropped from, and the surface. We will tell you which shell and which foam grade meets it, and what it costs to prove.
Verification policy
Only tests actually performed are described with figures. Where no test record exists for a model we say so, and quote the test as a separate work package.
